- เปลี่ยนความคิด จาก “ฉันจะไม่รอด” เป็น “นี่แค่ร่างกายตกใจ เดี๋ยวก็หาย”

When the Body Sends False Alarms: Post-Traumatic Panic
Why does it happen?
After a traumatic event like an earthquake or an accident, your body may react with symptoms such as:
- Rapid heartbeat
- Shortness of breath
- Chest tightness
- Intense fear
Even when there’s no real danger, your brain still thinks "I'm not safe yet." When triggered by reminders—like sounds or images—your body reacts as if the danger is happening again.
Ways to Cope
- Breathe deeply and slowly – Helps calm your body.
- Gradually face your fears – Take small steps instead of avoiding them.
- Reframe your thoughts – Shift from "I won’t survive" to "This is just my body’s alarm—it will pass."
What You Should Know
- This is a common reaction after trauma and doesn’t mean you have a severe mental health condition.
- Recovery is possible—the sooner you seek help, the faster you heal.

หลายคนได้เคยประสบกับแผ่นดินไหวครั้งแรกจากเหตุการณ์ครั้งล่าสุดที่เกิดขึ้น แม้เหตุการณ์จะเกิดขึ้นเพียงระยะเวลอันสั้น แต่ก็เพียงพอให้เกิดความตื่นตระหนก หลายคนรีบวิ่งออกจากบ้าน วิ่งลงจากตึกเป็นสิบชั้น ทั้งที่บางคนไม่แน่ใจด้วยซ้ำว่าเกิดอะไรขึ้น แต่บางคนก็อยู่เฉยๆโดยไม่ได้กังวลอะไร
เหตุการณ์นี้สะท้อนถึงสิ่งที่นักจิตวิทยาเรียกว่า "Yerkes-Dodson Law" หรือ “กฎความสัมพันธ์ระหว่างความตื่นตัวกับประสิทธิภาพ” ซึ่งอธิบายว่า คนเราจะทำงานหรือรับมือกับสถานการณ์ได้ดีที่สุดเมื่อมีระดับความตื่นตัว หรือ "ความกังวล" อยู่ในระดับ พอเหมาะ ไม่มากเกินไป ไม่น้อยเกินไป

3. ตระหนักแต่ไม่ตระหนก การมีแผนสำรองและซ้อมรับมือ ทำให้จิตใจมั่นคงขึ้น
4. หาความรู้จากแหล่งที่เชื่อถือได้ เพื่อไม่ให้ข่าวลือหรือความไม่รู้เพิ่มความเครียดโดยไม่จำเป็น
